In 2016 I have been on a three day citytrip to Budapest. I really love this city. Budapest has some amazing architecture, a great pubstreet and everything is affordable. But the best thing I did in Budapest was the Thermal Baths.
Budapest is separated in two parts; Buda the west bank and the east bank Pest. There are four bridges connecting the two districts. One of these bridges is called ‘Chain Bridge’. From this bridge you have a great view on the beautiful buildings of Budapest.
Buda is the hilly part where you can witness an incredible panorama view from the Fisherman’s Bastion. To get an even better view, you can climb Géllert Hill. If you are more interested in some history, you have to visit the two museums inside the Buda Castle, better known as Castle Hill. On a hot summerday, you can cool down in the caves underneath Buda.
On the other side of the Donau river is Pest. It’s the part with the lively areas, big restaurants and great shoppingstreets. In Pest, there is a park called Városliget Park, which is a must-see. This park offers a lot and is great for a nice walk. You can visit tons of museums, such as an agriculture or transport museum, but you also can spend a day in the Zoo or see the amazing Vajdahunyad castle. To end the day, you can relax in the best thermal baths.
